I'm new into Sats actually don't even have one so I was hoping I could get some advice on what's the best receiver and dish out. So I went out and bought Satellite International Magazine and there was a lot of cool stuff but most of the threads I've read here recommend pansat 2500. Basically, I'm looking for a ton of free channels, easy upgrades, support multiple sats and a great looking and intuitive menu guide. So, please let me know the best of the best.

Steve1454,
The process is simple,
1. Read, read , read, and then got to other forms and read, read, read. Use the search functions for individual questions/facts.
2. Only spend/buy what you can afford to lose. here are no refunds when it becomes useless, that is why you need to read which is running now and can handle updates.
3. Decide what you want out of it (channels, time to update, # of dishes, # of receivers).
4. Compare cost of subscription and PPV purchases to cost of equipment. This will shock many.
5. Keep current by checking forums, and by doing this you will see who to trust and better yet, who to avoid for info and products.
6. Buy, set-up, relax, take your time, be patient and enjoy you new hobby.
7. If you can't do the above then just get a sub and wonder, what could be.

Good luck and happy hunting, Later TY
