REGION FREE METHODS FOR : United

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DVX 4052 1. Power on, eject tray.
2. Press "Setup"
3. Select "Custom Menu" ("Right" four times)
4. Press "3333", a new "SECRET" menu will open, with region codes to choose from, the last one being "Free". Select it and press "Enter".
5. Power off, on and enjoy imports

DVX 4066M 1. Turn on power.
2. Press arrow up twice.
3. Press arrow down twice.
4. Press arrow right once.
5. Press arrow left once.
6. Press 0 (for region free, else region number).
7. Press Enter.
8. Done.

There is a new version with a chipset Ess:

Press setup, then step, prev, next.
You are in a hidden menu, where you can see your firmware(41121 or 41221)and bypass the region check.

1. Turn on DVD unit
2. Press OPEN/CLOSE button to open DVD door
3. Press SETUP button
4. Press SETUP button again
5. Press UP direction button
6. Press DOWN direction button
7. Press 0 to change to region code free. (TV screen shows R0).

DVD-1151 1. Power on the player.
2. Press and hold Stop and then Open/Close & Skip Fwd on the player (not the Remote Control) for 3 seconds.
3. A hidden menu appears on the TV:
REGIONAL NUMBER 
COLOUR SYSTEM SETTING 
DEFAULT COLOUR SYSTEM 
EXIT
4. Highlight REGIONAL NUMBER and press Select on the remote control.
5. Menu: "REGIONAL NO 1,2,3,4,5,6,FREE". Select a Region or FREE for Region free and press Select on the remote control.

SET COLOUR SYSTEM

1. Go to first menu as above, "COLOUR SYSTEM SETTING" and press Select on the remote control.
2. Menu: "AUTO" "MANUAL". Set to "MANUAL" and press "SELECT" on the Remote Control. The first menu appears again.
3. Select "DEFAULT COLOUR SYSTEM". Menu "PAL" and "NTSC" appears.
4. Select according to the system of your TV Number 9 on main menu must also be set according to the system of your TV, if the TV is not a multi-system, i.e PAL and NTSC.

1. Open the door
2. Press "7739"
3. Press "0" (for multi-region code) "2" (for region 2) etc.
4. Close the door

Does not work on DVD4052, but the following method works:

1. Power on, eject tray.
2. Press "Setup"
3. Select "Custom Menu" ("Right" four times)

2. Enter 8, 9, 2, 6 on the Remote Control (You should see **** on the top left of the screen).
3. Enter the Region code of your choice, 1 for Region 1, 2 for Region 2 etc. and 9 for Region Free. You should see your selected Region in the top left of the screen.
4. Now press Play.

DVD-2151 1. Ensure the player has no disc in and the tray is shut.
2. Using the remote control. key in the following: Setup, Next, Stop, Pause/Step, Prev, Next.
3. You should now see a new MENU: Loopholes. Go to Select Region and make your choice of regions 1 to 6 or ByPAss for region free.

2. Using the remote control press 9, 8, 1 and 7 or 3, 8, 3 and 8
A service menu will appear.
3. Change the region to whatever you want or set it to 9 for all
Press the Ent button until it matches your choice
4. You can also alter Macrovision on/off from this menu.

These changes are permanent.

DVH4081		 1. Open the draw.
2. Type 81328 on your remote.
3. A window will appear on your tv.
4. Press the enter key to move to region 9.
5. Press play to close the drawer.
6. The machine is now permanently multiregion.

Enabling VCD playback:

1. Turn On the player and place a VCD on the open tray
2. Using the front panel press Close quickly followed by Menu and 5 on the remote
3. This should load and play the disc. If the disc fails to play then press 0, 0, 0, 1 and the disc should then play
4. If this fails to work then you may wish to consider using the hack for the Goodmans GDVD-135.

This may only enable VCD, not SVCD.
