1. Open the player's tray.
2. On the Remote Control, key in 2, 1, 8, 0, followed by the region you want, or use 9 for region free.
3. The first four digits will appear as asterisks on the screen. Each digit has its own asterisk. Once you reach the fifth digit, whatever that digit is will replace all the asterisks

To turn Macrovision On/Off:

1. Open the player's tray.
2. On the Remote Control, key in 4, 5, 6, 1.
3. Then key in 1 to turn OFF Macrovision, or Push 0 to turn ON Macrovision.

The Tredex site has downloads that can be burned to CD to upgrade the player to allow VCD and SVCD playback.
