REGION FREE METHODS FOR : Tevion

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DVD-200
DVD-2001		 1. Using the remote control, key in the following: Menu, 1, 6, 7, follwed by the region you want, or use Mute for region free.

Macrovision:

1. With no CD/DVD inserted in the player....
2. press on the remote: menu, 2, 4, 6.
3. Press 1 for off.

Note: this may actually be the dealer lock for the player tray - if so, use "2" in step 3 to unlock it.

To convert this player for VCD playback:

1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray.
2. Place an audio CD in the drive tray.
3. Press the Open button on your remote control to close the drive tray.
4. Using the remote control, key in the following: Menu, 1, Index (1-All), Open, 1.

If the above doesn't work, try:

1. Insert an audio cd
2. Press: PLAY, STOP, MENU, 1, INDEX, EJECT
3. Now choose 1 for VCD-Support on and 2 for VCD-Support off

 The Macrovision hacks definitely seems to be the dealer lock.

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
DVD-2001, DVD-2002 Region Select:

1. Power on with no CD or DVD in the player.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Menu, 1, 6, 7, followed by the region number required.
Note:  Earlier reports of the use of Mute button for region-free seem to be unfounded for the DVD2002 - it simply does not work! Change to region required.

Macrovision:

1. Power on with no CD or DVD in the player.
2. Using the remote control, key in the following: Menu, 2, 4, 6.
3. Choose 1 for Macrovision off.
Note this is also described as a dealer lock hack - let me know which it is!

VCD Enable:

1. Insert an audio cd, then wait for the first track to play the press Stop.
2. Press Play, Stop, Menu, 1, Index, Eject.
3. Now choose 1 for VCD-Support on and 2 for VCD-Support off.

Another VCD enable method:

1. Insert *Audio*-CD
2. Wait until first entry starts
3. Press "stop"
4. Press "159"
5. VCD-Options Menue: Press "1" for yes

Jump in time on a disc:

1. If you push the "Pause" button (or "fast forward/rewind"), you'll be able to enter a time to jump to.

Example: To jump to 45 minutes, 33 seconds, press -004533, then simply wait for the player to jump to that particular point in time.

To convert this player for VCD playback:


1. Press the Open button on your remote control to open the drive tray.
2. Place an audio CD in the drive tray.
3. Press the Open button on your remote control to close the drive tray.
4. Using the remote control, key in the following: Menu, 1, Index (1-All), Open, 1.

3. Press 0 to set region code protection to 0
4. Press clear to exit
