| Playstation 2 (any model) | This is not a handset hack, but a basic recommendation. 1.
Go out and buy either Action Replay (aka Game Shark) 2, or DVD Region X. This is by
far the easiest way to make the Playstation 2 region free (and no green screen on RGB
playback). 2. Have a Messiah 2 or Magic 2 chip installed. |

This works with a Pronto remote, use ProntoEdit for the
codes... - Program individual hex-code (below) into five chosen buttons - Put your DVD-player to standby mode (main power on and red light above it) - Push programmed buttons sequentially from one to five (the player starts up) - Do it again: Push programmed buttons sequentially from one to five (the player goes back to standby) ANOTHER METHOD: The player should now be multiregion! May not work on DVP-NS400D. For the D900G, use the same code that you have, but instead of the display showing a message the region your player is automatically set to will come up in the top left corner of your screen. This is the point that you press the 9 button. The same code will apply to the D900. If you have a laptop with IR or an IR adaptor like the MA-600, visit http://www.selen.org/sonydvd.html, which will help you use the above hacks. The CD version of the website will have this info on it too. AND HERE IS A VERSION FOR THE One4All: "I used oneforall kameleon remote to make my ns705 region free. just follow these

| DVP-PQ1 (and others?) | The following conversation has been copied from a
bulletin board, which may help those that wish to use an IRDA port on a laptop to help
hack Sony players: "I have just made my Picot region free thanks to the procedure
described at this site: I used my computer with an Asus A7A266-E motherboard and a homebuilt IrDA device
connected to the motherboard's IrDA port (I doubt a USB IrDA port will work so don't waste
your money.) Having looked up the region hacks for other Sony DVD players on this site it seems
there are several methods of applying it (to some/all DVP-XXX models.) I found the the
DVP-NS300 forum particularly interesting: http://www.selen.org/sonydvd.html i used a dell insipiron 8100 using ir port on com2 damn my laptop didn't work, I've got a Compaq Evo 1020. I'm goona try getting a all for
one 6in1 remote, how do I program the remote to the fire buttons needed for the DVDplayer?
HOPE THIS HELPS!!! |
