REGION FREE METHODS FOR : Generic names with "Slimline 2" as model

 

MODEL(S) : METHOD : CONFIRMED?
Slimline-2 1. Turn on the player and open the disk tray.
2. Press Setup on the remote.
3. While in setup mode press on the remote: next, prev., next,prev. Now the menu disapears and in the right corner there is displayed VER 3 (or whatever number).
4. Change the Ver to whatever region number you want or use 255 for region-free, using right and left arrow keys.
5. Press the Down arrow until VER changes to 3001.  Change it to 3000 for User Prohibitions off.
6. Press the Down arrow until VER changes to 4001.  Change it to 4000 for Macrovision off.
7. Now Press on the down arrow key on your remote till VER changes into 5001. Change that in 5000 by pressing the left arrow key. Now your DVD player can play VCD and SVCD.

Another method:

1. Tray closed with no DVD
2. On Remote control, press SETUP to display the setup menu
3. Press NEXT, PREVIOUS, NEXT, PREVIOUS
4. VER n is displayed in top right of screen where n is the current region setting
5. Using left and right arrow keys select the required region, VER 1 for region 1, VER 2 for region 2 etc. or VER 255 for region free.
6. Press SETUP to save the change and return to the setup menu 7. Press SETUP again to exit setup mode.
