Is there any big difference between the noise cancelling headphones that Bose advertises for $299 and cheaper brands? |

Are there units that can be placed on a window sill that will cancel or greatly lower outside freeway noise???? Who makes them and where can you buy them??? |

The $299 you pay for the Bose Quietcomfort headset is well worth it. I have a pair. Before them, I purchased a pair of Sony's and Brookstone. Both were far inferior. Bose's headset is the greatest. The fact that the earcups totally cover the ear allows for much better cancellation over a wide range of sounds. Hell, I mow my law with them on! (be careful doing that though.. haha). The other brands do a half-a*s job of cancelling noise. I have worn these different sets on airplanes and commuter trains. By far the Bose set is the best. Hell, they even give you a 30 day trial period. If you don't like them you get your money right back, no questions they say... |

Does anyone have a review for the Sennheiser PXC250 wired noise cancelling headphones? Any comparisions with the Bose quiet comfort 2's.?

I myself am not a bose fan, but own a pair of QuietComfort 2's. the sound honestly is not as horrendus as some of the reviews will make it out to be. Just give them time to break in. But, the noise cancellation is truly first rate. |
