I have Coby 7" player that will play any movie disks in full screen. That is, movies I recorded in 4:3 format or movies I bought that is formatted to fit 4:3 tv, all will play in full screen, from edge to edge. I tried Toshiba 8.5" player today and it will play these movies with black stripes on both sides, that is, the screen size has become smaller. The clerk at the Circuit City tried different modes in the setup section without success. Cheaper Element player played full screen, although I wanted to get name brand for the later possible customer service. What could be the problem? If it is functional problem, what kind of function (name this please if known) do I have to look for? Thank you all in advance.
