Looking at closed headphones on the cheaper side and I've narrowed my search down to the Sennheiser HD 280pro or Denon AH-D1000. I want these for listening to rock/drum and bass/house, so yeah they have to have a bit of bump to them. If you suggest a different pair of phones, keep in mind that I don't want to amp headphones. |

i really like the sound of the denon. it has a very warm sound at the sametime very solid. i haven't heard the sennheiser so i couldn't compare though. |

The HD280`s have been around for a while, and offer great sound, for the money, and with most Sennheiser phones, comfort is never a problem. The Denon headphones I have just been reading reviews about. And everyone seems to like their phones. I`m still trying to find a dealer here inNew York. |
