When i put all my songs on it only about half showed up the rest were labelled UNKNOWN and wouldnt play. I tried converting them and that didnt seem to work except for when i turned them to WAV. I dont get it, since they all seem to be the same type of files and labelled MP3. Please help cause I really dont want to return it.

It has a lot to do with your music files. Make sure that they are all in the same format to minimize problems. Reconvert them all to the same file format to ensure uniformity as the Sandisk is very quirky when it comes to reading the files. This file difference happens a lot specially when you are taking it off a PTP network and not legitimate purchases.
