Ready to tear hair out! I've been troubleshooting my iPod all afternoon. I'm ready to throw this thing against the wall and break it for good! The iPod works and plays my music, the iTunes works on my PC. BUT, iPod is missing in iTunes and My Computer. When I doc the iPod I get "Do Not Disconnect" forever and nothing else. There is no connection. I've tried everything, all 5 steps recommended on the iPod support site. I can't even get the iPod updater to engage to update or restore the thing to factory settings. I've downloaded all the latest software, I've deleted it all, downloaded it again, etc. I've resetted the iPod countless times, I've reinstalled iTunes and iPod software and restarted my computer 4 times. I CAN'T do a restore. The computer just can't seem to detect the USB connection. Yes, I'm using all the equipment that came with the original iPod. HELP! All I want to do is sych the damn thing with newly downloaded music. |
