Sorry if this is a simple question...or TMI. But My daughter unplugged ipod when it sid Do Not Disconnect. After that my itues say it doesn't recognize my ipod(yet it knows its name) and all the song are gone from my Nano. So I am wondering if to restore or reset (is there a difference) and how to do it the easiest way.

i am very afarid to do permanent damage to my Nano

It is okay....got over my fear of damaging ipod and fixed it...yeah
