MD works fine with my laptop, however installed on a different machine (SonicStage 1.5) and it doesn't connect with my MD. It simply states that new H/W has been attached. I have installed several new drivers from Sony sites, MD driver, re-installed yadda yadda but no use. I have an Aiwa AM-NX9 by the way.. any comments will be appreciated..

goto Control Panel, System, click hardware tab, then click Device Manager. if ur MD is having trouble there should be a yellow exclamation mark in Universal Serial Bus Controllers.

Uninstall your MD and then run Add Hardware Wizard.
It then should detect the MD player.

if it still doesn't work, Try using a disserent USB port.
