I was wondering if you are able to use the Energizer- Rechargeable DVD Battery on the Apex PD-700. The battery allows for more playing time on the DVD player. I called an Apex rep and he said it wasn't recommended.

Any thoughts??

If the Apex rep said it was not recommended, why would you insist on using it?
