I have a Toshiba sdp 1400. The player is locked on region 2. I want to unlock it, but there seems to be know code available on the internet. Could somebody help me with this problem?

I have a bigger problem now. I downloaded firmware from the original UK service center. I thought I could use it. But I forgot that my machine is a NTSC player and the European a PAL player. The result after my upgrade is that my screen is totally screwed up. Does anyone have the NTSC backup firmware to fix this problem. Or does anyone know how to reset the firmware?
