The Hi-Fi Show & AV Expo 2004 Presents The Latest In Audio/Video Entertainment

London, England–September 2004–With just a few weeks to go, the Hi-Fi Show & AV Expo 2004 in London has confirmed exhibitors representing almost 300 brands and product lines from some of the world’s most exotic high-end home-audio and home-theater manufacturers.
Open to the public September 25-26, 2004, the Hi-Fi Show and AV Expo will give show attendees an up-close and personal look at components from technology-driven companies like Accuphase,
Anthony Gallo, Ayre, Boulder, Chord Electronics, DreamVision, Hovland, Krell, Marantz, Meridian, Musical Fidelity, Pioneer, Revolver, Sonas Faber, T+A,
Tannoy, and Visonik Elektroakustik, plus many, many more. A show’s success is determined by the number of product debuts it can boast, and the Hi-Fi Show & AV Expo 2004 will be filled with them. Sony plans to show DVD hard-disc recorders, new displays and fascinating wireless systems–surely the format of the future. Nagra has chosen this venue for the world premier of their radical Pyramid power amplifiers–the latest brainchild from Dr Schluup. Wilson Audio will be demonstrating the MAXX 2 speaker, featuring technology derived
from the awesome Alexandria 2, PMC will debut the ultra-clever digital amplifiers from Flying Mole–compact modules that pack a real punch for pro, purist and multi-channel users. Vinyl lovers will find plenty of analogue hardware, including Audio Research’s new, affordable phono stage, the PH5, PLUS the annual Heathrow event always turns up a host of exciting new turntables. Vivante promises a slew of new vinyl releases from labels such as Mobile Fidelity, Universal,
Warner, Sundazed and Classic Records, and the long-awaited London Reference cartridge (seen as a prototype at the 2003 event) will be at the show in production form. Meridian’s biggest hit ever–the G Series–has expanded into a comprehensive range to cover all AV needs, while another ‘letter’ line-up–Musical Fidelity’s X-Series–will be on display with the limited-edition update of the popular X-10. Power-hungry audiophiles will swoon over amplifiers like Musical Fidelity’s kW 500, Theta’s 300-watt Enterprise and Conrad-Johnson’s first Premier series solid-state power amplifier. Naim’s DVD5 completes the company’s first multi-channel system, and Pioneer has promised a brand-new plasma monitor–always a show high point! And the show will welcome a number of high-end brands not seen for a while–the gorgeous Oracle range is back, with the world’s sexiest turntable and CD transport, the prestigious Mark Levinson brand will enjoy a major re-launch along with Thiel loudspeakers who returns to the UK market.

Music is what it’s all about, and there’s no better yardstick than the real thing: LIVE MUSIC. Jazz and blues artists who are scheduled to perform include the John O’Reilly Band, Guy Tortora Duo, Matt Empson, Nigel Bagge Duo, and the Tim Royce Band.

Friday, September 24 is devoted exclusively to members of the trade and worldwide media who will be in attendance.
