What are differences between Rotel 1067 and 1056 + RB 1070 (mains redirected to provide 7.1 setup)? The 1067 would have more power all around but the 1056/1070 would give more and I would think, better power to the mains. There's about a $200 price difference - so what else am I missing in this comparison?

I like the 1056+1070 option myself but I would like to hear other opinions.

Thanks

For the price...the 1056 and 1070 would easily beat out the 1067...

In home theater not too much difference but in 2 channel stereo the 1070 would eat it for breakfast...

I agree the Rotel Rsp 1068 processor and the rmb 1075 would each most other comparatively priced systems for lunch.

Separates give great flexablilty for upgrading.

The 1056 receiver is a great value too.

You redirect the amplified fronts to the center back, then use your front pre out to a seperate amplifer for a total of 7.1 = audio bliss

well thanks everyone. I purchased the 1056/1070 combo. Took me some time to get things configured - but it sounds fantastic. I'm new to this game so I'm not sure what info I could pass on at this point that would be meaning for you folks. But I would add this combo to anyones short list in this price range.

Yes, but can it do that? I assume it can because you said it.
