Can anyone tell me if the new Sony SAWX-700 Subwoofer's are any good?, i am looking for a sub that sounds good when playing music and dvd's, I don't have 500.00 or a grand to spend and I like Sony products., Thank-You. |

I like them a lot - they are pleasant and boomy - perhaps too much so for music, but for movies, really good. I like them for music too, but others don't for the boomy character. |

I went to CC to buy a Sony sub last night and ended up walking out with a Polk for $199. All of my speakers are Sony so I wanted to keep it in the family. I had the sales person fire up a few different models of subs by Sony and they sounded awful. The sales person said he could have told me that before he let me listen to them. He recommended the Polk sub and it did sound a lot better. I'd recommend going in a just take a listen for yourself. |
