Hi All,

Could somebody explain the difference between the CD players I mentioned ? I know there are some differences with regard to the optical output (541 hasn't got one), but I want to know if there are differences in sound quality ?

Thanks!

Alex

The NAD c542 sounds better, that is if you listen very carefully.
When you own the c541i I wouldn't be bothered.
Every year models are improved and upgraded and in general they sound better than the previous model. (that is: a little better).
You must have loads of money to keep updated.
Buying a new cd player means: take the loss, after one year you'll find a better one for the same amount of money.
It's a sad world.

Thanks for the input, coz I now own a NAD C541 and it sounds great. Only was curious if it's worth upgrading. I'll save the money and keep my C541...
