Thread: Marantz 5300 and Auto Protection Mode? |

Just picked up the Marantz Sr-5300 receiver and have been trying it out for the last couple of days. The receiver sounds great but have had it go into out protect mode when listening at -7db to 0db. Turning down the bass to -2 from +4 seem to have helped. Was wondering at what volumes can other people run their speakers at before auto protection mode kicks in. I am running energy speakers all around. Fronts are 3.1e's and surrounds are the RVSS model. The amp going in to auto protect mode occurs in HT mode as well as stereo mode.
