In more than one way. I have never owned such a dissapointing POS as the RTi7.
They used to have a good name, not so much any more.
I watch movies mostly but on occasion I crank the likes of tool with my HK AVR 7000 and blow the tweeters every time.
I've been a stereo enthusiast for 30 years and have never blown a speaker. These Polk speakers I blow about every month.
Any advice on a tower speaker that can handle anything from movies to tool?

Rocks I was a big Polk fan myself once, had the SDA's back in the early 80s and had the Polk towers in the 90's and they were solid but now I feel Polk Audio is not what they used be.. Recently tried and bought Paradigm Studios and man are they rock solid.. Seems Polk doesn't even build they're tweeters in house anymore which tells me they are falling back. Paradigms components are completely built in house. In my research I tried Polk LSi series which is they're top of the line and I think the Paradigm Studio line blew the Polks away..
