Hello, I've narrowed my new receiver search down to these three:
Marantz 5300 $400
HK AVR325 $450
Denon 1804 $420
Speakers: Bose Acoutimass 10 with Infinity Sub
Usage: 70% movies, 30% music, TV usage
Any thoughts on the above receivers. I think the marantz is too good to pass up, I'm not sure any of the others are worth more money. Let me know what you think and if anyone has found these for cheaper. Thanks

I purchased SR5300 and combined it with B&W 602S3 as fronts (for now). I auditioned all of them with this set (and B&W `s are most "bad equipment" revealing due to their precision). Marantz was the winner both setup with great look and built quality. It has the spirit of old days when everything was made far more better than today (steel and iron). The price is steal, go for it!!! |

If I had to buy a surrond receiver would be that Marantz or that Denon!
Go for the marantz! (the old days stuff... ;-) |
