Hi guys! I was wondering if you could help me choose some bookshelf speakers to match the amplifier and cd player I have just bought? Can you please give me as extensive a list as possible as I have plenty of time on my hands at the moment and can get most brands where I am. Oh and I have a budget upto £150/$230 (street price). Thanks in advance. |

You are lucky to be in Britain - you have good choices for audio.

After the speakers, I would get cables like Ixos gamma, and 6003 speaker wire - they make a difference.
Over there, you can get pretty good speakers for that money.
I just love what you British have done with audio - from Tannoy to musical fidelity. We classical music lovers like the imported stuff here.

Thanks for the advice James, it is much appreciated. I will have a look at the speakers you mentioned although I think the Missions are out of my price range and are too large for what I had in mind. The others I think I can manage what with the sales being on. |
