I just bought a Denon AVR 2802. When I turn up the volume, the receiver shuts off. Do you think that connecting the receiver and the subwoofer to the same poweroutlet could be causing this intermittant problem? Maybe something (receiver or subwoofer) is drawing more current, as I would imagine after reading a similar problem. It happened twice in a single day after I set it up. Any other suggestions as to why this may be happening?

This happened to me with my Denon 4800. I thought it was the receiver but it was actually a faulty connection from the TV. Check all your connections carefully. The receiver cuts off to protect it from the potential hazard.
