Hi,

I need help connecting my xbox to my receiver. I have the advanced AV pack (S-video) for the Xbox. My TV is a big screen JVC - it has 2 inputs (1 component and 1 S-video/RCA) and only 1 audio output. Hpw do I connect this using the receiver??

Connect Xbox s-vid output to one of your receiver's s-vid inputs. Connect Xbox L/R audio to the same inputs that you did with s-vid.

Connect the s-vid output of the receiver to your TV's s-vid input. I assume you have speakers so you don't need to connect any audio to your TV. Just listen to the audio from your speakers.

On the receiver, select the component corresponding to your Xbox inputs and you should be Xboxing.

If you're worried about the composite video (if you already have one connected), try using just the "Y" jack of the component video for composite video. That works most times just fine and is the intended usage.

I hope this helps a little,
po
