Hello,
I have a few questions about my surround sound setup. First of all, with the shape of my living room, I had no choice but to have a wide open space to the left of my listening area, and a large window and door to the right. There is also a curtain on the right window. Will this interfere too much with the sound? If so, is there any way to angle the speakers or anything else to counter the bad effect?

Also, my dvd player has a setup program where I can progam in the distance of the speakers from the listening area... and so does my reciever. Would it be better to program both of them, or just program my receiver and not the dvd player?
