I've been looking for a new amp and found the NAD C370, Rotel 1060, and Cambridge Azurs 640A on audiogon all within my budget. First of all, which do you think would be best for jazz and jazz fusion yeilding a warm detailed sound.

Second, have i missed anything out there in the $500 price range (new or used) that might be worth looking into?

Third, I'm looking to get new speakers as well so what brands suit these amps well?

Man, that's alot of questions...big thanks in advance to anyone that can give me some pointers.

If you can strectch and get Green Mountain Europa speakers, and get McIntosh receiver, or Creek or audio refinement, you would have a cut above what you were looking at before.

I would recommend Ixos Gamma cables (RCA and speaker) - they do make a difference for less than $100 for all (www.accessories4less.com)

Hope you find your hifi dreams...
