Hello
today i tried hooking up a home audio sub with a built in amp up to my minisysytem. My minisystem has rca inputs. I tried hookin up the sub through that but it did not work. it did work though if i used speaker wire. When i hook it up using speaker wire am i using the amplifier built into the boxes power or the minisystems power.

your using the speaker box power.
also you need an rca output from your minisystem
not an input. |

well all i no is i have the red and white plugins on my mini system and the amplifier. so your saying if i use speaker wire from my minisystem to the amplifiers im using the plate amplifiers power not the minisystems.

i am interested in making all of my boxes powered units , but i have very little knowledge of sites where i can find these units, especially high powered, high quality ones for sale. any help or information will be greatly appreciated |
