I have a digital out on the sound card on my PC. I have tried transferring tracks to my mini-disc recorder using the optic cable, but the audio out on my M-D receives it as a loud whining hum. I'm guessing it has something to do with copy protection by the audio player software on the PC. I have tried using both media player & winaamp with no luck. I have a Sony MZR-900. Any suggestions? |

Did you really mean to connect the digital "out" from your PC to the digital "out" of your mini disc. Some optical ports are dedicated to either "in" or "out" only. |

If you are using pc out to md in, then turn the volume down on your line in, so the audio from the pc source does not feed back from the digital out to the line in. |
