Without a doubt, the best sounding sub/satellite system is the one that sounds best to you.

I have listened to the KEF 'Eggs' (KHT 2005.2) in a friend's system and I think they are wonderful. There are many, many more out there (a search on this forum will throw up more names). Specifying a budget will be helpful.
