I just bought a jvc kdg200 receiver with 4 polk audio db650's. The system sounds great but I know it could be better with an amp. How big should I go? Any suggestions? Thank you. |

I know you would like a nice simple answer but give a try at a few answers that have appeared in this forum before to similar questions: http://forum.ecoustics.com/bbs/messages/1/12481.html (begin at about april 04 replies) Also check "definitions and descriptions" for more information, you will find it under the "speakers" section of this forum. Click on the link in the later posts about power. |

I had a chance to talk to Mr.Polk himself, and asked the same question - and he said good 70 watts per ch (wide current). You would have to make the jump to an audio shop to get a quality 70 watts that will improve your sound. If you don't want to spend a lot, than I would recommend this one - sounds pretty good with polks. It is 100 watts discreet 2 ch. receiver. http://www.abesofmaine.com/viewproduct.asp?id=ontx8511&l=Bizrate |
