Equalizers can be great. But good equalizers are expensive. A good equalizer will balance out the frequencies and db's in the room when operated properly.

Ideally, you can get a local dealer or ISF technician or some sound technician to bring over their high quality equalizer and balance and equalize your speakers in relation to your room.

Then they can take it back home.

Try moving your speakers around , closer to corners for more bass, away from corners and walls for less bass. Toe them in or out ect. Speakerstands? (Raise off floor to ear level). I would try EQ last.
