I have Polk RM6600 speakers with a PSW 350. I'm much more "Audio" focused, but enjoy a good movie in surround sound every so often. Right now, I'm in a great room but eventually will move the system to a 1100 sq. ft. basement.

I'm pretty much sold on a Marantz SR5400, but also considered HK. Like to keep it under $600. Am I on the right track or do any of you with more experience have any other suggestions? Thanks!!!

I have the Marantz SR5300 and have heard one HK amp. I think either are excellent choices.
