Hey guys, i know this probably a really amateur problem, but here goes anyway. I currently have a pair of Stanton 505's which have reached the end of their life, and i was looking to upgrade to Shure M44-7's, I was originally just gonna get the ones pre-mounted, but due to a lack of cash flow, the severe difference in price has tempted me to picking up ordinary M44-7's and fitting them to my current headshells.

Problem is, i have no idea about disconnecting the current cartridge and fitting a new one, just wondered if i should be able to manage this myself, or if i would need to get a specialist to sort it out.

Thanks in advance.

What kind of table/arm and what problems "disconnecting"? Usual problems are in reconnecting.
