Anyone had the chance to check out these two newest CD players from NAD and Arcam? The new arcam is a bit more in price but seems to have a better build quality, but in the end it's sound that counts. There's a store near me that has the two players and I WILL go audition, but I thought I'd see what others (like me) have to say about them before hand. I'm particularly interested in good bass response (which both are claimed to have) a touch of warmth, and something to bring my NAD C370 with B&W 602 S3's alive with the heavy music I listen to. I'm sure both would deliver over what I currently have but some real life owners comments may help narrow my choice. Thanks. |

Well, I guess I'll put a comment to my post. Yesterday I listened to the NAD C542 vs. the Arcam CD73t, and there was no comparison. If you can afford the extra bucks buy the arcam cd73t, I did. The reviews of it on audioreview, audiogon, and various hifi magazines are bang on. Regards. |
