I recently bought MA S8s and want to add the center channel and a pair of surrounds. The question is, what to use for the surrounds: Sfx (bipolar/dipolar); or S1 or S2 (direct firing). Has anyone used any of these and have any listening experience to relate? FYI my room layout is as follows: about 12'x25', with the couch up against the long wall, and the front speakers across from the couch (ie about 10' away). The surrounds will need to be located either (1) on the 25' wall behind the couch, above and to the side of the couch (side walls not an option), or (2) on floor stands to the side of the couch. I will use the surrounds initially mainly for movies but will begin to venture into 5.1 music in the near future.

I use the Silver 1 for surrounds as I listen to lots of concert dvd's and prefer direct radiators for music. They work great for movies also.
