I might have simply overlooked this detail due to the price, but are these manufactured in Brooklyn-NY?

The address of the company is in a residential neighborhood, I think it's a private residence? Can this be something akin to a cottage industry?

I'm probably wrong, but I might have heard these a few months back during my Wilson MAXX series-3 (?) audition.

Hey CM - if you think you heard them, then what do you remember hearing i.e. $140,000+ worth of sound?

Equipment priced at this level always gets me thinking, what makes up the price:

Is it the materials and components within?
Is it the time to assemble?
Is it to pay for the R&D?
Or, is it just to push quality sounding gear to an unreachable and exclusive level? In other words, just a marketing scheme / approach where it's felt there would be more money in keeping it exclusive then manufacturing?

I'd love to hear them, but unless I was worth millions, this wouldn't be anything I'd ever look at acquiring.

I suppose like most other things, they charge what people are willing to pay.

I was not terribly impressed by the MAXX set-up in comparison the the ALEXANDRIA set-up, I'm pretty certain the amps were in the room, but I can't recall if I heard them or what they sounded like?

Man, that's just crazy.

If I had the money, I think I would be just as happy, if not more so, with a pair of these:

For a tenth of the price.

Yes, Dave, but I'm sure you would probably have a some Bryston SST/2 around, as well.

I must admit, I'm not a fan of the handles on the BIG McIntosh Amps, or the McIntosh Globe logo.

But I do love the classic McIntosh logo (with the Gothic lettering) & the BLUE meters., I also love the nickle-plated finish of The 60th Anniversary Edition MC75.

If you spent $15K, I suspect it would.

I saw one ad for the anniversary set for 12K USD.

That seems a little closer to reality...but not my reality, unfortunately.

Funny, for 15K the word reality wants to spell as realty.
Huh.
