So, I am new here and looking for any advice I can get. I want to keep my total price under $1000, and I need speakers, a receiver, and a subwoofer. Finally, I want to be able to do 7.1 surround and for the receiver to have hdmi inputs.

Please let me know if you can help me out with this goal. Thank you!!!

The boston acoustics horizon series isn't bad for a complete system.

And an Onkyo 606 will keep you under the $1000 mark

these are just suggestions, take a look around, see what you can find

i ended up going with a set of mini monitors and a cc-190 from paradigm. They cost me $650 total with a sub wire from 6th avenue electronics.

I heard em in store and loved em compared to the other brands (klipsch, definitive)

Thanks for the help!!!
