I have a Sony 444ES receiver which has, I am told, an excellent equalizer. However, I am not sure how adjusting the equalizer affects your speaker sound. For instance increasing the treble to the upper limit of the KHz band does what to the high frequency? Does it make the treble more forward or bright? Also, how about the mid range and bass? I find when I turn the mid range up to the upper limit of the range it makes that frequency more forward and a lot more detailed. Anyone, just a quick education on how to use an EQ band to improve speaker performance. Thanks
