Well now that I have most of my stereo equipment I need a knockout TV to go with it. Ive found the loewe Aconda 9383 for 2800 on closeout since they are discontinuing this model. Id appreciate anyones thoughts on this television.

I would see if you can find anything on the reliability of the Loewe brand TVs (you don't want to haul that baby around in your SUV). You might also consider the Sony KV-40XBR800 if you really want a tube (~$2500 at Crutchfield, but I am sure less elsewhere)--not 16:9, but should have good reliability and a nice picture which maintains its picture for many years.

Actually I compared the 2 televisions today - the aconda 38" and the sony 34xbr910. I used the same material - nemo and lord of the rings. I have to say the aconda is the best looking television Ive ever seen hands down - I dont care its not a really flat tube - its the most amazing picture - so 3d like.
