The MH 25.2 is a good unit. The connectivity is first rate, the 192 is always on, and the unit does what it should do. The tube stage is giving away some gain, like 6db, which might be an issue if a user is close to the amp limit. The unit responds well to dig input and the stand alone volume control is quiet and unobtrusive. I just got no life out of the nit, no matter the connection. I used the balanced output exclusively, due to a lack of cables, but this seems logical in any case. The unit does what it is meant to do, but I got no toe-tapping or broad smiles from it. So there ya go, off to the next user. |

No toe-tapping from a Music Hall unit? There's a real shocker! All sarcasm aside, that's been my gripe against Music Hall since the first time I heard them. No emotion, no soul, no groove. Kinda goes against what music's true aim is. |

Make no mistake, this DAC does it all, and has connectivity out the wazoo. The 192-up does what it should, brings everything into better time and actual pace. Everything is there...but... Like the girl next door who pecks you on the cheek... And the lack of gain in the tube output is a little disturbing, like, where did the oomph go? |

Have you rolled out the tubes to something with more oomph? |

Another tester was intending on rolling the tubes, I have not heard anything from him. I passed the unit along last week to the next in line. |

Nuck, In my research to find a DAC I now know there are non-oversampling and oversampling DAC's. Which is preferred and how would you describe the sound difference? |

Mord, the MH unit sampled at 192Hz, which is 8X or more. I dont think the technology is as much in this equation as the way that MH makes stuff. It was pretty dead. |
