Hi. I made the switch to HD radio and honestly, I hear no difference between analogue and HD with the Denon 697 CIHD (has both analgoe and HD radio. See "receivers forum" for my full review). I don't have a CD player, yet, but I'm wondering if audiophile sound can be achieved with a digital music system/library. My POS laptop sound card is so-so, but I'd like to know what other audiophiles do to download their music library onto a digital home system, and in particular what DAC or sound card to use to get hi-fi sound. I use iTunes and like it, but I'm gypping my system by playing it through the laptop.
Thanks,
Neal in Minneapolis
