I have a Bryston 4B-ST running Martin Logan Quests. The sound is wonderful but I was wondering if it would be a good idea to bi-amp with another 4B-ST or buy a newer 4B-SST model? What do you think? |

I think I should word better my question! What I want to know is that should I go with 2 4B-ST's or just one 4B-SST (newer model)? The reason I ask is that I am wanting those that have experimented with the brand and let me know if I would get a significant change in sound with the newer model. The ST series in itself is already amazing but I know that my Logan's would most likely benefit from 2 amps as they are harder to drive than regular speakers. |

Hi again Danman. Is your amp straining to drive the ML's? Do you have to limit the power to protect the amp or speakers? How hot does the amp run now? |

No the amp has mega power! Bryston 4b's do run quite warm even at idle so that is not an issue. There are no issues at all with the amp itself I was just wondering what would be the benefits of doing one or the other. |

I think the power of One 4b of any sorts is plenty of juice for your speakers. Going from a ST to a SST model however would be a significant upgrade in sound from what I hear. The VP of Bryston claims that the new processor in the latest SST products makes a big difference. I recently heard some new Bryston gear and I would agree. |

Danman...talk about pulling the trigger..wow! What are you going to do with your exising 4B-ST, second system or up for sale? It's going to be awesome to do a comparision between the two. Would you please let us know how it compares with the ST? Thanks. |

It is for sale as we speak on CAM and Quebec Audio as well as Audio Circle. Hoping to sell it fast as it has a brand new silver 19" faceplate that replaced a 17" black one. The amp is like brand new as I always take really good care of my stuff. I will let you know of the difference for sure when I get it. |

Danman, I heard that there would be no price increase on the 4B SST2 over the previous version SST. Is this true? |

Any ETA yet, Danman?? It's a recession, there's lots of people second guessing their purchases right now. You'll sell the old one Danman, just give her some time. Heck, who knows, I may come after it. |

It happens all the time. I had someone win my Brystons on ebay (yeah, I know - ebay sucks but I get more $ for stuff on ebay than CAM or Agon). Anyway, the winning bidder just went "poof" and disappeared after winning them. I guess the price tag scared him. |

Yup. I just shipped them today. I did a "second chance offer" to the next highest bidder and got exactly what I paid for them. I enjoyed them for free. |
