I have today purchased a Curtis MP3 player model number as above. When I try to load music files from iTunes on my Laptop the Laptop says the files have loaded but the screen on the MP3 player says "Disc empty". I thought I had followed the instruction but I must have done something wrong. What is it I have done wrong?

i have the curtis MPK7836UKA i have had it 3 months but when i went to use it today i cannot get it to switch on or charge or load onto my pc i cannot take it back to store as i have misplaced my receipt so at the moment im stuck with a mp3 that does not work can anybody help me.
