Hey there, I just received a Pioneer PL-990 turntable as a gift, but I have no idea how to set it up. Here's a link to the turntable: http://www.amazon.com/Pioneer-PL-990-2-Speed-Automatic-Turntable/dp/B00009QORL I don't know anything about vinyl records or turn tables, I popped into Radioshack and they said I need an amplifier and speakers. I'm just confused between amplifiers and pre-amps. Could someone point me in the right direction? Also if anyone has any recommendations on specific speakers/amps, that would be awesome. Thanks, Julian |

. Have you read any of the archived threads in this portion of the forum? Many discuss the same issues you ask about. |

Thanks Jan, I did, and I got my new turn table all set up! I hooked it up to an old stereo, all that's needed is AUX outputs. Right now I'm listening to Led Zeppelin II in all its vinyl glory. |
