I am trying to align a Ortofon OM-10 cartridge on a Technics SL-1650 TT. I have two tools, a Pro-Ject Align It and a Turntable basics alignment tool. I Cannot push the cartridge ahead enough to reach the stylus point on either tool. The headshell on the table is from a Kenwood. Is the Technics headshell different from the Kenwood or is a Ortofon cartridge not a match for this table? I also think the cartridge should be shimmed to lower it a tad. Anyone know of a good site to go to too find cartridge mounting supplies?
Thanx

Found the cure to my ills at KABUSA. They have an overhang gauge and a shim for Technics tables.
