Everywhere but on your kit....ok...not sure what that means.

A Jazzy Wonderland on Columbia. One of the wife's, not so good, a little too lite jazzy for me.

In fact I have to turn it off and get something else.

It means I hear it on the car radio when someone is in the car with me, I hear it at work, I hear it at the store. I hear Christmas music everywhere so I don't need to listen to it here too.

I don't hear the Christmas music I play anywhere but here.
Hmm..it's the pop/rock stuff I've listened to since I was a kid and hear at work and on the radio and at the coffee shop and so on that I can only take in small does at home so I can relate.

I love it all. The cold of winter and the heat of summer. I like snow and cold temperatures and just learned last fall that I enjoy subtropical humidity as well.

Winter comes every year and I refuse to be miserable just because the weather changed. Still have to work so there's no escapin' it, might as well enjoy it!

I never cared how cold it got in Chicago nor how hot. Most folks might not know that Chicago is on record (or was, who knows nowadays) as having the most degrees from its coldest temperature to its hottest temperature. So I can take Dallas as easy as Chicago. However, I have never had to shovel snow in Dallas so in that respect I will stay in Dallas for a while.

Now back to why we are here or hear...

if you do not have "Breakfast in America" it belongs on your buy list!

Hey George, I got this gratis when I attended a charity appreciation event where they performed. It is actually quite good if you like them. Made in 2006.

I have attended my share of "vintage" group concerts, and these guys for the most part still have it.

Thanks for the gentle prodding about the Christmas music Art! I forgot I had it! LOL.

Safe travels Kevin, and to all traveling over the holidays.

Nothing special and I'm sure I'll hear the noise. It's a Polk Audio PSW505 12" which has a 300w BASH plate amp. A little loose for music but for HT it works quite well. I find that 8 to 10" is more than enough for music and provides a tighter response. So far, the best bargain for a musical sub I've seen are the KEF Q series.
My Sinclair Brighton's put out a ton of tight base on their own with the 3B so I'm totally fine for 2-ch music but for movies the just fall short of critical mass.
Since I only use the sub. for movies, I'm more than happy with it. It was one of those Future Shop $299 boxing day specials with free shipping, last year.

Your is the Velodyne 12" right? Yeah, the big box store subs kinda all fall in the same category. The only one that seems to stand out from reviews are the Energy subs. They still get good reviews but when I heard them, I still wouldn't say they sound musical. The KEF I think is the place to go for good sound at a reasonable price. I believe you can get the smaller KEF for around $700.

I have the Velo DPS-12, the Velo VX-10 and a Polk PSW-10 (very similar to your Polk, I believe).

The DPS-12 turned out to be a $600 disappointment.

Trans Siberian Orchestra - Christmas Compilation
CD

And before you all start, it just got here this afternoon by USPS express. A gift from my daughter's boyfriend whose hobby is being a mixing engineer. I have condemned him for not knowing anything about music. He doesn't listen to anything with instruments?????? Mixes, synthesized stuff, makes his own sounds I guess. That's all he knows about music.

But now....

It made moving much easier for the next few years though.

Suzanne Vega - My Name is Luca

Call me a geek but I really like this tune, get's my head bopping.
I remember working at a gas station one summer pumping propane and this song would come up all the time on the radio. It was one of those songs you liked but would never admit to the guys working at the station.

O.k. now up. A song a really like:

The Dream Academy - Life in a Northern Town (their Brit accents can clearly be heard).
