Hi, everyone
Im going back old school so I just got a Technics sl-235 TT, a Pioneer sx-650 reciever, Pioneer gr-777 eq and a pioneer cd player ...its the 1986 player with the lexus 5 disc carthage and the sound coming out of Bose 301s. All of the components are in just out of the box new condition so they all work well... but i was wondering how to properly hook up all the components to run with the equalizer.
I have heard to hook everything to the receiver as normal and the eq into the tape RCAs of the receiver then use the tape switches on the receiver to change components.?.
But with my bad hook up skillz I only hook up one at a time and would love to have it correct so i dont have to pull out the receiver every time to change components.
I can get the TT to EQ to Receiver phone to work well and the cd player to EQ to Receiver aux to work well, seperatly...but not everything hooked up at once :-(
If anyone can give me a straight up easy way to hook this up I would be the happiest moron :-)

Thanks much,
Dave

.

The tape loop should affect all components you are using as a source. Just make the connection from tape out to eq in and eq out to tape in. Engage the tape monitor when you want eq in the loop.

And more importantly, turn the Tape Monitor off when you do not want EQ!!!

Receiver Tape one record =to= EQ output play.

Receiver Tape one play =to= EQ input record.
