I don't have time to read every other thread to see if anyone has asked this, but is it possible to put, let's say, 2 car 6x9 speakers or 1 6x9 and 1 6.5" in one tower, that you may have made, and wire it to work with a home audio receiver? What is the difference between a car speaker and home audio? Is this dangerous?

listen to both and make the assessment. But if you like car speakers and you want to make them into home speakers by all means, go for it. But no, it is not dangerous. Just be careful with your receiver choices, most car speakers are 4 ohms and some are even 2 ohms and not a lot of home receivers can handle that load.
