I don't have time to read every other thread to see if anyone has asked this, but is it possible to put, let's say, 2 car 6x9 speakers or 1 6x9 and 1 6.5" in one tower, that you may have made, and wire it to work with a home audio receiver? What is the difference between a car speaker and home audio? Is this dangerous?

Why on earth would anyone want to do this? Insane.
People, STOP wanting to connect CAR junk in your home. 6x9 HOME speakers? TWO PAIR at that. *shaking his head in dis-belief*
Oh, one other thing: Don't attempt to "build" your own home speakers unless you have a degree in physics, unlimited funds, a plethora of amplifiers to use and decades of time on your hands.

It is possible but why??
Only dangerous if you have no idea what you are doing. I wish it was that simple to just hook up wires together and get things up and running.
